Merry Christmas everyone. I pray Santa was good to you all. He sure was good to Jacob. Santa brought him a tent, a rider, and a rocking zebra. Uncle Rob and Aunt Amanda gave him an Elmo chair. Deck the Halls

Jacob helped Nona decorate her house for Christmas. He really liked how the ornaments tasted. He has a short fuse because he got tired of putting ornaments on the tree so he started throwing them on the tree. Nona loved it anyway. Which is so funny because when we were growing up you couldn't play when it came to Christmas decorations. But Jacob can do anything.

Charlotte Christmas

We just returned from our annual Christmas trip to Charlotte. Jacob is getting his molars so at times he was grumpy. Here he is with his Nona.

We really did have a wonderful time. I'm always so excited about the Christmas in Charlotte. As a child that was one of the BEST things about Christmas. I sure miss my Mamaw and Papaw, but I love my family so much.

Ok, so I think we have agreed that this will be an OK sitting spot for "little man". I think it lasted a total of 10 minutes and he was back in the doggy bed. Now we know what to get him for Christmas, right?

I'M ANGRY!!!!!!!!!! Daddy is trying to tell Jacob that the doggy bed is for the dog not little boys. I don't think he cares.

Jacob loves Precious' dog bed. Precious of course hates to share anything with Jacob especially her bed. He looks up to something doesn't he?

The Birthday Boy

Jacob turned one on September 29th. We had a crowd of family there to help us celebrate. I still can't believe my baby is one. Everyday he seems to grow more. I wish our family in Egypt could be here to witness the blessing that is Jacob.




This outfit was a birthday gift from Uncle Rob and Aunt Amanda. We loved it so much we used it for his birthday photos.

After all the gifts "little man" got for his birthday THIS is what he loves to play with most. Go figure.

Well, we finally did it. Last Saturday as Jacob was turning one we took him to get his hair cut. He was such a good boy and didn't cry one time. The entire family went as well as his offical photographer, Uncle Rob.


Here's the final results...................what a handsome young man.

11 months and I already feel like he is a young man. I'm trying to be excited about him turning one. It's a wonderful thing, but I can't help but miss those early days with him. He is such an amazing blessing in our lives and we can't begin to express how thankful we are he is surrounded by so much love. Not just from us, but his family all around.

Hair cut???

This weekend my brother kept commenting on Jacob's hair. We went to the pool and after we finished putting sunscreen in his hair I saw how long his hair really is. But I just can't bring myself to cut it. I mean I'm already letting Jacob try to walk. What more do ya'll want from me? Hee heee!

Jail bird

With a house full of dogs we put a gate up to protect THEM from Jacob. He loves them and doesn't quite understand why they don't like their tails and ears pulled. So, I took this picture of him coz he looked like he was in jail and if you could have heard him you might think he was in jail.

Stefan visits.

Our cousin Stefan is here for a few weeks and Jacob couldn't be happier. He lights up when Stefan comes into the room. They're buddies now.

Rub-a-dub

I know that one day Jacob will want to KILL me for posting pictures like this, but I can't control myself. He loves the tub and looks forward to it nightly.

Our yearly beach trip was very nice. This was Jacob's very first time to the beach. He consumed a lot of sand and soaked up quite a bit of sun, like he needed it.
