Merry Christmas! What a great Christmas we had. Jacob really racked up from Santa this year. We hope everyone had a blessed time togther and pray we will see you soon.

Halloween 2009

Jacob was the friendly neighborhood ghost this Halloween. I have no idea how he even new what a ghost was, (daycare I am assuming). He wasn't thrilled with his handmade costume, but in the end it worked and he was pleased to have a large amount of candy. Karen brought Ellen and Matthew to meet us in Statham so that made it even better for him.

I have not been able to post pictures because my usb cord was sliced in half.....I am finally able to post pictures of Jacob's birthday bike. You would never know he was once afraid of this bike. Now he goes so fast I think I am having a heart attack.

Long Christmas 2009

What a great time we had this year at the annual Long Family christmas. Mom had it at her house and it turned out great. Jacob loved haing his cousins surrounding him.

Jacob's 3rd birthday

Jacob celebrated a belated birthday on Sunday. He turned three on September 29th, but we couldn't get the whole family together until yesterday. Jacob had so much fun and loved all of his gifts. We know how blessed we are to have Jacob in our lives and want to make sure we share the joy he brings us with all of you.









Many thanks to everyone who has helped me the past three years in raising a precious child like Jacob. I know that I did not do this on my own and so I give thanks to the people in our life that contributed in making Jacob the sweet child he is.

Go Doggs!

We went to see Cole play last night against Monroe. Jacob had the time of his life. His daddy bought him a Georgia shirt to wear and Jacob kept calling it his Cole shirt. He really loved the band, which was also called Cole's band.

Gymboree

Jacob's little friend, Abby, had her birthday party on Saturday at Gymboree. Jacob loved the fun of climbing over everything, but when it came time to sit down and do activities together he got grumpy. Maybe we should have forced a nap? The little blonde in front of him on the steps is Ava (Aba) and Jacob adores her.

Disney World

We made it back safe from our trip to Orlando. Just a few minor glitches but everyone had a blast. Now that I am back in college and back at work I didn't have a lot of time to post many pictures. I'll try to do more later. Love to all.

Fun in the sun...

Nona and Poppa are back from the beach. Jacob is so happy he can barely contain himself. The weekend they returned he spent the entire day with them in the pool. It's so wonderful to see the three of them play and talk. I waited my whole life for this kind of love. It was worth the wait.

Big boy bed

Well, Jacob is no longer sleeping in his crib. I decided since I was out for the summer break it might be a good time to start sleeping in his big boy bed. Needless to say it has been wonderful. He doesn't get out of his bed unless he asks us first. So, feeling all confident and all, I also took away his pull-ups and gave him underwear......he has only had one accident in 2 weeks. I am so proud of him. I haven't had to bribe him at all. He loves every minute of being a big boy - Mommy not so much. I miss some things of him being a baby. Although he is a lot funnier now. Hope everyone is doing well. Chat again soon.

Alabama weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Alabama celebrating my cousin, Caitlin's graduation from high school. We had so much fun. We always do, but it was extra special this time. There was a dominoes tournament, a basketball game, and lots of food. I wish we lived closer. Jacob was given a hand-me-down big wheel from his cousin and he did not move from it the entire weekend. We even brought it home.

Easter 2009

Jacob's new swing set

We started Jacob's new swing set today. He is so excited. I think I am more excited though. He worked so hard helping his Poppa and Daddy. He knows how to work a drill better than them. I've never seen such a hard working two year old. I'll post the end results of our swing set when we are finished.

Our new pet

For Valentine's day we bought Jacob a fish......he loves to feed him everyday. We have tried to give it a proper name, but Jacob refuses and says only, "FISH".
