About Me

My photo
Welcome to our family blog. We created this blog so that our family here and in Egypt can share with us in the joy of having Jacob in our lives. It's very hard for us to have family so far away and we want them to see Jacob grow and know him well. We miss them all and can't wait to see you very soon. Enjoy!

Jacob ended his fifth year of soccer last night. I can't believe how much better he is getting at this game. He told me last night that in the fall he wants to try basketball. I couldn't believe it. I'm not sure I am ready to give up soccer, lol.

Mr. Jonah

This is our newest and sweetest addition. I have been gone so long from my blog and haven't even mentioned our sweet Jonah until now. I have so much catching up to do, huh? Jonah is 2 now and a bundle of energy and laughs. He is strong and independent. He loves to play outside and be incharge. I love him to pieces!!!

Jacob had his first sleepover last night. They had so much fun! Holden came over and they stayed up late, ate popcorn, and played super heros. Loved it!

Child's World

Jacob's preschool had their end of the year program last week. It was called It's a Small World. It was precious and Jacob had a small part, as diez in the song Diez Amigos.

Strawberry picking

Washington Farms had their annual Strawberry festival last weekend. Ashraf, Jacob, and I went and had so much fun. Plus, the strawberries were amazing. Jacob loved picking his own basket and was so proud of what he had. We were too. He is such a sweet boy. I'm a proud Mommy.

Soccer 2011

Another season of soccer has ended. Next season Jacob will have actual games. I can't believe how fast time goes by. Here's a few shots of his last practice and his end of the season party.

Christmas 2011

I have not updated our blog in soooo long. I have been swamped. Christmas was wonderful, but we missed our family in Egypt and can't wait to see you all very soon. This is Bryce with Jacob. He has grown so much. I can't even believe my little nephew will be 1 in March -yikes they grow too fast.

Winter Storm 2011

Atlanta was hit with a snow storm this past Monday! The boys had a blast playing in the snow. It is now Friday and we are ready to get out of the house! Cabin Fever!

Soccer

Last week was the start of the soccer season for Jacob. He loved it! Ashraf and I were so excited to see him in his "uniform" and on the field. The kids are so small, but it is adorable to watch.

Toasty

Meet Toasty. This sweet and beautiful rooster found its way to our front porch last week. He was so friendly and Jacob adored him. Noni on the other hand did not. We had to find Toasty a new home. He sure is missed.

Uncle Rob's birthday 2010.....we are late uploading pictures due to a mean virus that attacked our computer this summer. Yay! We finally got it back this weekend.

Ormond Beach, FL

We ended up in Florida this year because it was sooo much cheaper than South Carolina. It was strange at first without the rest of the "family", but it was fun. It was beautiful there with the most amazing blue water. It felt tropical. We took the kids to Magic Kingdom for the day - 12 hours of fun! I wish I was back on the beach.
