About Me

My photo
Welcome to our family blog. We created this blog so that our family here and in Egypt can share with us in the joy of having Jacob in our lives. It's very hard for us to have family so far away and we want them to see Jacob grow and know him well. We miss them all and can't wait to see you very soon. Enjoy!

Like Poppa

Jacob is learning a lot from Poppa. He can work any remote control in the house.

Nona's new gift

Our sweet Nona found a coup car for Jacob. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet, but going backwards is easy as pie. He will sit in it for hours. Every once in a while Poppa, Daddy, Nona, or Mommy will give Jacob a push around the house. He is a blessed child.

Valentine's Day treat

Happy Valentine's day. Jacob had a great night. His Nona came to visit us in the bedroom and brought along a little treat for her "precious boy". She had a weight watchers fudge bar that was practically gone, but shared with Jacob. I think he thought he was in heaven. Needless to say we had to brush our teeth quickly and take a bath. Fudge bar everywhere...on Mommy, on the furniture, and in Jacob's hair. Sweet treat for a sweetheart.

Finally.......

the weather was wonderful today so I loaded Jacob up and headed to the local park. As soon as he saw where we were he took off and nothing could stop him.

A group of teenage skaters showed up and he was in awe. I'm in trouble.

Jacob wasn't scared of anything. I was exhausted after 10 minutes of chasing him up stairs, down slides, and through tunnels.

This is Lucy. Her Mommy brought her to the park to play and Jacob loved her new dress.

Poppa time

Jacob loves the outdoors. If he could stay outside all day he would be very happy. His Poppa took him for a wagon ride while he walked his dog. Then we spent some time on the back porch riding his truck. It wasn't all that cold, but he won't go outside w/o his Elmo hat.

Weekend of fun.....

Jacob had a VERY busy weekend. He has never played so hard. Everything is so new to him and it makes me see things as if I had never seen them before. The simplest thing makes him laugh and feel happy. He found this Christmas bag and decided to put it on his head. He kept it there for a long time. If I tried to straighten it for him he's scream.......hee hee.
