About Me

My photo
Welcome to our family blog. We created this blog so that our family here and in Egypt can share with us in the joy of having Jacob in our lives. It's very hard for us to have family so far away and we want them to see Jacob grow and know him well. We miss them all and can't wait to see you very soon. Enjoy!

Mommy and Me swim lessons.

Today Jacob had his first swim lesson. Since putting the new pool up Nona (and Mommy) have had nightmares about our little dare devil jumping into the pool. So, this morning Jacob and I headed to Oconee County Aquatic Center to learn how to float on our backs. I think I was more nervous than Jacob. I knew I was going to be forced to dunk him more than once and I didn't know if I could actually do that. When the time came I just said, "Jacob, you and Mommy need to be strong." Then I counted to three blew in his face so he'd hold his breathe and DUNK! OMG! Was he angry!!!!!!! I've never heard so many screaming babies in all my life. My head is killing me...and to think I have to go back Thursday.

Grandma's shoes

Enough said!

Playhouse with Poppa

Another hand-me-down.......our sweet pastor's wife, Monica, is always giving us little things. She gave us an old playhouse and slide that her kids have out grown. Jacob loves them and makes Poppa play right along too. They are waiting for us to serve them.

Working for a living...

Jacob JUST loves being with his Poppa...no matter what he is doing. But his favorite thing is to use tools and work hard on anything. Here they are fixing the computer chair. He really thinks he is actually fixing this chair. So does Poppa.

MUDDD

Nona and Jacob went for a little walk today. I looked out the window and this is what I saw. When he left he had clothes on and also shoes. It's funny that when your parents become grandparents how their rules change. My brother and I would have gotten in BIG trouble for doing soemthing like this. Yet Nona sat there laughing and loving every minute.
